Molecular Systems Science and Engineering is an interdisciplinary research field ranging from materials science to synthetic biology and medicine. Emphasis is placed on the development of novel carbon-based materials, molecular machines, 3D printing, as well as regenerative medicine, vaccine development, and cancer therapy. In addition, the research field contributes to application areas such as diagnostics, sensor technology, and renewable energies.
